LONGBOARDING Lessons!
NCBL is offering a variety of Longboarding lessons for Adults and Youth this season.
Private Lessons begin in February 2012.
Let our 10 years of instructional experience take you through the step-by-step process of safely learning this fun sport.
Learn to effortlessly float along along the beach boardwalk or river trail, sharpen your "boarding" skills for the next snowboarding/wakeboarding season, or discover the techniques for bombing hills on a longboard from a NCBL professional boardsport instructor.
Riding Longboards has long been an off season pastime of professional surfers and snowboarders around the world. Did you also know longboards are a reliable piece of transportation, great cross trainers for most any board sport, and a very viable form of exercise?
Longboards offer a free floating, effortless ride. The boards carve/turn very simular to snow and wake boards, and are much easier to ride than their counterpart, the short skateboard (designed for tricks, jumping, etc). Typical longboards have a wider/longer wheel base and softer wheels making the boards much more forgiving, and much more efficient. Less work, more play!
NCBL can supply the boards and safety equipment, so come give it a try.

Brian Owens; 4,000 board sport lessons.
Aug 2011, Nor Cal Board Lessons (NCBL) owner and instructor Brian Owens hit the huge milestone of teaching 4,000 board sport lessons (Snow/Skate/Wake and Surf). Brian has been instructing professionally since starting NCBL in 2003, and this season while teaching a beginner skateboarding class in Rancho Cordova, CA his total documented number of students exceeded 4,000. When asked about reaching this milestone, he responded “This is huge for me! I love that I'm able to give back to the sports I love so much”.
If you watch Brian teach it quickly becomes apparent why he stays booked year-round. His demeanor and instructional vocabulary are professional and extremely supportive; his attention to detail and safety seem to equate to the perfect recipe for teaching these extreme sports. California's premier board sports lessons company has built its success on its beginner/intermediate skateboarding and snowboarding programs, but also offers adult boot camps & action sports Yoga and adult longboard lessons.
